Central Nebraska | We've converted augers from PTO to electric. On the last 8" we converted the gearbox and motor ended up about 20ft up from the bottom, so its about head high. Had to get this far up to make it light enough on the end a guy could move it some without the loader. We have another auger that 40' with a single phase 7.5hp motor on the top end of it. No drive shaft, bearings or chains to deal with. You can pull that around the yard by hand without too much effort. | |
