| I had a reverse osmosis installed for under $1000 for drinking water. I over payed but didn't want to do it myself and wanted a high quality system instead of something that might break. They are quoting you that much likely for your entire home water supply. You only need to worry about drinking water unless you have some really nasty stuff going on. I don't think its going to hurt to do the dishes or shower with above average level of nitrates.
