I have a 2009 impala and after I put it in park and shut the engine off, the doors do not unlock and the key does not release. I have been having to press a button inside the steering column to release the key. I think a wire is broke near the shifting lever which does not “sense” that the car is in park and that is why the doors do not unlock. Am I correct?
