SC MN | While not perfect (what is?) you can usually gleam a lot of useful information about the car. One, where was the car initally purchased. Was it a rental, leased or purchased. My daughters car I bought here in Minesota was initially sold in Florida, and was probably a rental. I'd prefer a lease or purchase vs a rental. Two, how many owners? If you find a fairly new car with more than two owners, I get nervous. One owner is obviously best, especially for a high mileage car. Third, did it get regular maintenance. My brother bought a car which I helped him find. Through Carfax, I saw that it was locally purchased, one owner, and regularly serviced at the brands dealership. The previous owner had the dealer do all the service work, oil, brakes, tires, air filters, even battery. | |
