Being micro manage running a chopper "I could have open the field my way,but the customer wanted to stay out of the rougher field that was a straight shot with wagon hauler behind-after 2 -90 degree curve turns i did it his way-the rougher field was 400feet to the road-easy to open-his was 1200ft and a mess,needless to say,we end up chopping the rough field anyways!"

I would make your feed side like you had planned,years of experience is level is fine but going more then 8inchs is waste as they eat better when its not as high up
most of my bunks are at 7inch curb height

We pour a flat floor and then come back and pour a 2x8 curb 44inchs wide-we use that as a scrape point also
