We have always used the cheapest dish soap we could find at a rate of one cup to 600 gallons of water. I was told dish soap is primarily surfactants and that's what you need to prevent bloat.
There's a Canadian product called Alfasure that's supposed to work well for alfalfa. Don't know if it's available in the states.
