spreader doesn't make a difference on soybeans, the pods always go to the walls, same as cobs in a corn bin. It is hard to store soybeans, I haven't binned a bean in years. Haul them straight to town. By the time you auger them in and out of the bin and run the fan on them you could have just hauled them to town. Especially since you are hauling this soon after binning them. Beans are really hard on augers and you can put them in a bin at 12 -13 and usually after running the fan a few days, they will drop to 11, except the green pods. My theory is, haul them to town, throw a few extra pods in. Gotta figure atleast 10 cents for augering beans in and out, probably more considering how much new augers cost. Then add another 5 cents for electricity for the fan. Those alone will pay for 3 months of storage here at the local elevators. Just my 2 cents. Plus bean dust is the worst when running a sweep, even with a good full face respirator.

My experience is a lot different than yours. Green pods will dry down. Not sure why you have cobs in a corn bin…..
Explain how the pods go to the wall if using a spreader.
