Subject: RE: Senate Farm Bill

Haven't figured out the disaster programs. So if you have a crop loss you have Federal Crop Insurance, which we already know what your guarantee is prior to planting the crop, and it could get better depending on price movement; why do we need another payout due to anything? I think they could rip up everything and keep the current crop insurance program and as long as you can run a calculator you will know what to plant. If you can't make it work maybe you need to find another line of work. I know most of these extra payouts are just a stimulus for the whole industry, that everyone blames the farmer for participating in. I guarantee John Deere and other major companies are pushing for all this extra crap so they can get their revenue up. Sad part is some of the best years are ones with total disasters, you get paid on crop insurance, the government has to step in and pay again for the "disaster" and you didn't wear out your combines. Unfortunately, if the government comes out with a payment you better get lined up to get yours because you will not be able to compete for land or equipment if you don't since the majority of farmers are getting them and can pay more and make it work.
