| When we build terraces we push the topsoil off build the terraces and then spread the topsoil back across the terraces/channels. After that we plant a rye cover crop to hold them in place and help the soil biology recover. Even if you're just doing the areas where you moved dirt I would suggest using cover crops on them for the next 3 or 4 years. When you are seeding the terraces with cover crops if you're using an airseeder put fertilizer down with it. | |
