All we do anymore is broadcast on top. Bean stubble we strip till thru it in the fall. Going to try stripping thru some of the corn stalks in the spring weather permitting.

Only picture I could find, spread Nov 15th, picture taken April 12th. I don't want to work it in if going to strip till it. And can't see wearing out a drill or planter when the stuff always comes up, even in the driveway.

I had a post on here last spring talking about the rye spread late on bean stubble a total flop. Couple weeks later field was green.
