What is the best non grass cover crop to go after compaction?

What is the best non grass cover top to go after compaction that you can plant in mid September after beans and still do its job?

What is the best non grass cover top to go after compaction that you can plant in mid September after beans and still do its job and breakdown enough in the spring where you can spring till the ground to plant corn?

Maybe the same answer for all 3? But wondering if the answer changes with the differentiating circumstances.
