Butterfield, MN | Yes, I'm afraid so. 9 volt battery is the oldest style. After that they went to the non-volatile memory style, but those didn't come with a 9-pin serial plug on them right away. I'm not sure when they actually went to the serial style, but your oldest one is almost surely back from the 80s, and your newer one is likely from the 90s. Not surprised that they're still out there, but not terribly helpful for what you're trying to do. | |
