Subject: RE: New grain bin cost

48' bin w/ 50 - 65k unstiffened should be under $2/bushel excluding concrete (labor and rebar included in the $2 though), site work, electrical. Concrete slab on a 48' with $200/yard concrete is about 11-12k. This includes 2 fans, takeout, floor, vents, stairs, handrail, all labor.

Don't bother with the 36' bin costs will go up considerably per bushel. Only reason I'd consider a 36 is if there was absolutely no space for anything bigger.

The 48' size in the 8-11 ring area is kind of the sweet spot for per bushel pricing. Just depends on how long of an auger you have or want to buy.
