Central Iowa | In the early 90s I was a part of county Farm Bureau vice presidents trip to Washington D.C. There was a luncheon at the capital where we could sit with government officials. As luck would have it we were able to sit at the same table as Bill Richards. He was the head of the Soil Conservation Service, a position he was very well qualified for. We had a long conversation sharing our interest in soil conservation. A great guy, just like talking to another farmer.
