mercer county, il | How deep is your water? In most of our bottoms like that, we can find sand veins pretty shallow. Just dug one in this summer, about 12’ deep into a good sand vein, 25’ of 4” tile, teed into a 8” double wall for a vertical casing. Submersible solar pump, cheap harbor freight panels up on a steel pole mounted to a hedge post. 2gpm pump, works fine. Iron ochre can be an issue but it doesn’t seem to bother the cows. | |
