NC Iowa
we did remove the woodwork. quarter sawn fir flooring, yellow pine panel doors & frames, high baseboards, crown molding, wavey glass windows. it took us days. only thing is, none of this stuff looks right or fits in in a new house. have it stored in the barn, but may never use most of it. i am going to use what i can when i finish my office. it is easy to look at the good of an old house, but the bad is you have to live with it, or pay more than the house is worth to fix it. i am all in favor in putting money in a sound house that will be worth more when you are done. location has a lot to do with that.

here is the old house 1880-2008
