Subject: Re: confront a parent if their son is hurting others at school

West Texas
Back when our youngest was in 4th grade or so we got a call from his school one day. He had hit another kid for 'supposedly' no reason. I had always told my kids to never ever pick fights and to walk away from them if possible. But if he had to hit someone to make it count.

It turns out this kid had been aggravating him, bugging him and prodding and poking him for several days. He got tired of it and waylayed the kid. Of course he got caught.
And while always very quiet and polite (according to the teacher) he just got fed up with this kid.

We tried talking to the other kid's parents but they would never listen.
