I have a different fill auger for the dryer. It is a 8 inch 30 feet long top drive transport auger. A 10 hp 3 phase motor powers the auger. Currently there is a regular contactor to start the motor. 
 Would it be easier on the auger driveline to put a soft start starter in place of the regular starter? My thoughts are with the on/off demand of the fill auger, a soft starter would be easier on the drive line. Right or wrong? Thanks,  Jim
