On my last trip we would stop at Golden corral buffets at lunch, pack in a pound or 2 of steak and sausage, and make that our only meal of the day. If hotel had eggs at breakfast would do that too and have a smaller supper, but the cheapest way we found was a non Breakfast hotel and a buffet.

We traveled a bunch filling my bucket list ( country singers ) did not fill it George Jones passed . Seems the hotel breakfast were not what county people eat . Hardly got bacon and eggs anywhere. Lots of donuts. Thats not what granny made . I’ll bet I was over 20yrs before I ever ate a donut. Granny would sure make homemade biscuits.
Granny - that was her job . She did it very well .spotless house , we never washed any clothes , home cooked meal on every meal . Good food too .
