Cleveland, MS. Own small farm near Booneville, MS | One reason it’s surprising to me is that I live in the Mississippi Delta. All the corn and most of the soybeans around where I live were done almost two weeks ago. I know it’s a shorter growing season here but that’s a little bit of my surprise. The weather has been ideal and I haven’t seen any combines running. In fact, the only combine I’ve actually seen was in a shed. I would have thought it would be full speed ahead at this point but if the moisture is still high then that makes sense. |
