Cedar Rapids, Iowa | I have a Smart7 connected to an Incommand 1200 with a SteadySteer.
If your receiver has WIFI, you can configure it with a phone/tablet/laptop and the web browser interface.
If it doesn't have WIFI, you will need to configure it with a computer connected via serial. Use my app:
http://lefebure.com/software/novatelconfig/
or you can use NovAtel Application Suite.
Configure COM1 to be at 38400 bps.
Output GPGGALONG at 10 Hz
Output GPVTG at 10 Hz
If you're running on RTK, you probably want to configure COM2 to receive the correction data. To do this you set the incoming interface mode to RTCMV3
If you're running on TerraStar you probably want to send the following command:
Ggaquality 1 PPP 4
That command will report a converged TerraStar signal (PPP) as a number 4 (RTK) in the GGA sentence. This gets you a green checkmark on the Incommand GPS icon.
If you aren't on current firmware version 7.09.01 then update that too. I haven't heard of any issues with it and there are some substantial benefits if you're on TerraStar. | |
