In that article is about blood testing for salt.

The kidneys regulate salt to within a narrow range in the blood. The blood will always test ok. If not you are already in deep trouble. Therefore blood test really doesn't tell much about eating too much or too little salt.

The kidneys will hold on to salt if you eat too little or pee it out if too much, keeping the blood within proper range. Not giving much indication of consuming too much or too little.
