| Water sources have been well water as well as city water. In well water the IQ unit is able to remove all organics including E.Coli, Coliforms, algae's ect. while reducing nitrates. The unit has been installed by a number of show barns during fairs and world dairy expo where chlorinated city water is used, the IQ unit has been able to completely remove the taste and smell of the chlorine. In these instances, the show cattle never showed any decrease of water or feed intake.
I'm not sure what you're asking when you say 'amount of use', please clarify. But there are units on farms ranging from 50 cows to 4500 cows. There are 4 different size units, which one you need depends on the water demands of your operation.
Id be happy to share prices with you directly, but most farms have seen a payback ranging from 30-45 days return on investment. This payback comes in the form of milk production increase, feed efficiency increase, reduction in chemical use and reduction in labor due to decreased need for cleaning.
I am a dairy farmer myself, and my goal is to help other farmers.
Please let me know if you've got any other questions,
Thank you, Tim | |
