Scheduled for later this week. We've been harvesting so really have not thought about this meeting, but need to ready. Some details: I'm 67, wife is 65. C corp. Corp owns equipment. Individuals own the land. No siblings involved. Accountant has all the financial info. I'm really not mentally ready for this retirement thing but I feel I need to be pivoting that way. For those who have retired, what are some questions and decisions that my wife and I need to be prepared for? Thanks
One good thing is present C corp rates are low (21% I think). So you can sell your equipment without a huge tax burden.
Ask your accountant about what to do with the corp after. |
