Dad had a 7 speed Spicer in an FL70. I couldn't float it as well as I could clutch it, so for the most part I clutched it. That thing was tight though. Bet all 7 gears were in about 2" of horizontal shifter travel.

We have the same truck with a air tag we use for hauling hay. I find myself using the clutch more than other trucks
