Why do you think futures will go down? I tend to think if there's a lot of bad corn the price will rise considerably and the bad corn will be discounted severely or rejected, leaving a better price for the good corn.



Agreed, corn on the CBOT is traded as good #2 if a lot of corn went out condition that would lower the supply of good corn. Although if you got crap for corn you may not even find a buyer who wants it, no matter what the price. Basicly the spread between Good and Crap will widen if a lot goes out of shape. Although I don't think this will be quite as serious as some talk about.
