For such a low production plane there seems to be a good number of them still flying, but fewer every year with the original GO-300. It was a good enough engine (mine was over TBO and last rebuild was 1977(!)) but too many people killed them with incorrect operation.

I believe that if Cessna had originally equipped the 175 with the Lycoming O-360, the 172 would be that obscure model they built a few of back in the 50’s and the 175 would be the most produced GA plane in history.
