The solar panel farm that is proposed for my area will be planted to naive grass and flowers prior to installation of the panels. The grass and flowers will keep the weeds down, weeds would block the sun rays. No fertilzer, no herbicide, no tillage, no diesel fuel consumption, just harvesting the sunlight. Oh, and a mighty nice paycheck for the landower.
Nice paycheck till the subsidies end and the bankruptcy's begin then who's going to pay for the removal of those obsolete panels, framing and footers? That is after years of lienholder court battles. |
