Not sure how it works in your area, but volunteer trees are a problem in native grass & flower program in this part of the world. Got to figure out how to control the trees amongst the solar panels.

My personal view is the solar farms I see in our area (NE IL) don't look nice. 

Re. corn vs solar....it seems to me the corn can and is viewed as a one year deal here. Rotate to something else the following year, or stick with corn. It's an annual decision that could be changed. Primary food product of wheat could be grown here also. It seems that solar panels will still be solar panels next year, and probably the next 25 yrs.

Personally, I wish only the "crap" ground in this area would be used for solar. However I understand the economics being offered.
