Subject: RE: 100+ in a 40 with no license = no problem

I agree with the sentiment. However there’s a level of personal responsibility that must be expected. He’s going 60 in a 40, which is ridiculous. In my town that would be a large ticket every single time. The officers I go to church with every Sunday wouldn’t hesitate to give me a ticket for that, as they should. In this situation I have to wonder how different it would be if he just rolled his window down. One of those things that’s fairly simple. We need police, so why make their job more difficult just because we’re upset we got stopped for speeding? Especially if you want to have blackout tint on the windows like he had. Unfortunately what are they supposed to assume when he cracks the window and they can’t see what he’s doing? They teach you that in drivers ed, roll the window down and talk to the guy. Don’t act like an ***. They responded probably with more force than necessary, but it wasn’t unprovoked and there was a really simple way to avoid it. The idea being, if you cooperate at the absolute base level, rolling down your window, there isn’t a need for anything else. You get a ticket, that sucks but he deserved one. And off you go. Pretty simple. I don’t consider that type of cooperation an infringement on my rights or freedom. After all, he broke the law. When you choose to do that you voluntarily give up a bit of your freedom
