Subject: RE: burr cucumber in road ditches

Floyd County, Iowa
Is it burr cucumber? Or wild cucumber? They're different. We have a lot of wild cucumber growing in road ditches, groves, and fence lines here. I just use broadleaf killers on it- Grazon, 2,4-d, crossbow, etc, whatever broadleaf spray I have in the old 3 point sprayer when I'm doing fences, ditches, whatever.
In the arbor vitae windbreak, I just pull the plant out by the roots as soon as I see it. They're easy to see in the arbor vitae before they go to seed.
