Katydids are green and their body imitates a leaf. They rub their wings together like a cricket to make noise. If you turn a male cicada over, you will see 2 circles which are like little drumheads which are used to make their noise. Katydids are nocturnal when making their noise, but cicadas make their noise during the day and early evening hours.
What's the saying about cicadas?
