North Central Indiana | If you could see this same chart east to west of the upper midwest and the September frost correlated to the full moon as this chart shows I would be more confident that it has a effect. To really know that it does correlate or not it would take months of research with a ton of data. Graphs are great visuals of patterns but there are so many variables that could effect what the chart shows. You see this in politics and bad science all the time. You can add or subtract varibles in the data to prove the point you are trying to make. One data set that would change that chart instantly would be to remove first frosts that occur in October before the full moon happened. Some years the full moon in October could be at the end of the month. Most lilley on those years the first frost will happen before the full moon. | |
