We ended up with some pipe that had a green, epoxy coating on it. Pretty sure that was intended for natural gas. It was what the supplier had so we bought all he had. Only deal was that you had to burn off the epoxy with a torch off the ends far enough to not interfere with the welds. The epoxy coating made painting over it go pretty fast. Only a little touch up later was needed.
