Subject: RE: Trapshooting setup for high school son

Near Richmond, IN

I won almost $6000 at the Grand several years back with a Remington 870 Trap that I think I gave around $500 for so the gun doesn't have to be fancy to shoot well. I also, later, bought a several thousand dollar Beretta trap gun and for quite a while couldn't hit a darn thing with it  Just kept shooting it and finally got pretty good with it!  A trap gun has a much straighter stock on it so I'd pick a trap gun over dealing with a regular stocked gun and trying to constantly change it. Plus get a full choke-you can always have it opened up if you want.
