If your looking to build soil test K I would recommend soil sampling on grids and spreading to your minimum values your happy with. “Here” that would be a K level of roughly 250-300 lb/a of K on soil test.

If your not that serious about it but want to feel better about what your doing spread a minimum of 200# of potash no matter what crop for the next 10 years and you’ll probably come out alright in the long run.

K is “harder” to build if you’re using book values for removal. Really need to pour on potash if you’re trying to build.
