Donnellson, IA. Makes saying here easier. | Just a few pics of the season. Haven’t posted much or really contributed like I have in my past. But I have been busier than ever as I added a lot of new and different for this season. Doing the majority of the work on the reservoir and plumbing for the rain machine ate a lot of time. Being organic and all the steps that entails are the majority of the rest:
The best part is that over my past 5 years in this new endeavors…..I spend 10-30x the time I ever have not working. My son is now 10 and we have had a fun season outside of the farm. After all I have no clue if he will ever want this life and unlike many I have nothing to promise that will be his. Use to look at that as a negative. Now whatever is meant to happen will. Just not going to miss his youth.
Wishing everyone a safe and happy fall harvest. I will add some crop pics once I take some. But they look good. Wheat was amazing again this season. And the cover crop is my best summer one yet. Safe travels….
