If as a 14-year-old, the kid can be charged as an adult and thus be held responsible for his actions, then the parents should not be held accountable. If the shooter was 18 and legally an adult, then the parents could not be held liable for anything he does.

No, the person could be unrelated, and OLDER than the gun purchaser. If someone purchased the gun and gave it to them, then they went on to commit crimes with it, the purchaser/supplier could be held liable IF certain conditions can be proven. |
