Northern IN | According to Pioneer it’s a 25-30% loss at this stage if the corn is hit with a killing frost. I’m not sure if the dropped ears will have the same effect, though if the plant is still alive. I know there are some hybrids out there that have long shanks that cause ears to drop early, but they will continue filling kernels after ear drop.
