I’d encourage honest communication with your current land tenant first and foremost. Perhaps ask him what he was paying, and if he figures that’s fair. Also ask him what he would advise you to do once he retires.
You could have some real good dirt or not. Southern Kandiohi is excellent. Mid kandiohi, ya best investigate soil type and geography. Excellent soil in spots, black sand in others.
Land manager would be my last resort. As in I’m dead and my wife doesn’t know what to do last resort.
There are excellent farmers in the area you describe.
