North Central Kansas
We went to my sisters in MO over the Labor day weekend. My brother in law is half Korean. She made Korean BBQ short ribs with Kimchi and rice. She bought the Kimchi. The beef ribs were delicious. I was not sure about the Kimchi but it was pretty good. I like sauerkraut. The Kimchi has a twang to it but it went well with everything. The ribs are sliced thin across the bone and marinated overnight in a sauce made with pears, garlic rice wine and some other ingredients. The meat is grilled. It is very good. Makes a tough piece of meat into a very tender and tasty meal.
