NEBRASKA | Don’t get just any soil test, get a Haney test. I use ReGen Lab out of Kearney https://regenaglab.com/
One of the tests to include is a total nutrient report. It will tell you what you have for nutrients in your top 8” or whatever soil depth you went. Then you will know what you are truly lacking, but it can all be freed up with Humic acid
I have attached my test as well as my soil recommendation for that field. Have not applied micronutrients or manure in 5 years. Been corn on corn for 8 years now.
Also attached is a green page showing fall of ‘22 soils test to fall of ‘23 soils test. Nothing but Humic acid and nitrogen was applied and all micros marked with a star went UP
The $40 I spend per acre in Humic acid (5 gallons/acre) unlocks $100’s of available micros and lowers my break even
