12 shovels of gravel to 2 shovels of cement is what I remember. We made most of our own bin floors and quonset foundation with the small mixer. That amount was enough that the wheelbarrow would hold it and the average person could handle it without tipping over if you were careful. Some of that concrete is over 50 years old now and still good. Pit run gravel with everything from fine beach sand to egg sized rocks.
