Subject: RE: Butler rodeo horse deaths in Oklahoma

I just talked to my daughter about it this morning. They get their cattle feed and horse feed from that same company. Their was a mix-up somewhere along the line, that had the rumensin level high enough it would have even killed cattle. Investigations are ongoing. Several of the horses, they are harvesting DNA to try to clone the animals. A vet in Amarillo is doing that work. He is on the cutting edge of cloning horses and cattle. Also, several of the brood mares were at a different location so were not affected. I didn't ask her how many had died, but earlier I had heard 40 some.
