"like a Ponzi scheme..."? What's that mean?

Ponzi scheme:

Ponzi Schemes are built to defraud people. Because they cannot be made in a legitimate way, they are per se illegal. A Ponzi Scheme is a type of investment fraud.

So, you're saying the MUD program is illegal?

I know for a fact there are 2nd & 3rd generation potential buyers waiting for the hand-me-downs of the fairly new, relatively low-houred machines. If the MUD program didn't exist, wouldn't it crunch the supply of the low-houred 2nd & 3rd generation machinery that easily moves to waiting buyers?

To my recollection, the MUD program probably started about 35-40 yrs ago. If it were illegal, I'd think authorities would've had plenty of time to shut it down by now.
