Lone Wolf Ok | Just went through a nightmare (not over yet) on JD No Till Drill page.
Guy was offering a 21' no rust conveyor for sale for 1910.
We need to switch out an auger for conveyor so brother contacted him - when I saw the ad, I also contacted him.
Guy didn't understand that same last name from same zip code might be 'same' Drill involved - 1st red flag - 2nd was when I asked about shipping - Fastenel quote. Then after i discussed with brother I questioned him. Reponse was not good. -- but Brother had already 'bought' it and had sent 1/2 via Paypal - never did finish getting $$ sent - guy supposedly 'shipped' goods - then put 'hold' on shipment. I started researching him. Address was a realtor office - employment - never heard of him. Fastnel can't ship anything over 6'.
Currently debating about getting texas rangers involvement --
New listing appeared with different conveyor - different name - I played this guy - (I suspect same guy) --I said COD - He said yes (but I suspect he would have changed that if things had gotten any further) He quoted me shipment via USPS then Fastnel -- ON LABOR DAY when nothing was open. and USPS -- made no sense - but I played along - when I called him on his blunder - he swore he had a cousin in each place that had an 'app' - LOL - Fastnel can't ship over 6'. USPS -- He claimed 'On Semi' - then he wanted USHIP - but he cried it was 'far away' for him. - LOL - I reminded him that Uship comes to your location to pick up. He said I was being 'hard to work with' - LOL
Never had any issues with Ag Talk people - thank you for being honest. | |
