| Don't feel bad about him asking.
I trusted once they were sold for $15 plus many years ago. I walked in the house and told Dad and he sold also. That was the day before a three day weekend. Come the following Tuesday the merchant didn't come in.
It turned out that the merchant didn't write down many of the sales. The honored my Dad's as he called them in a few days before the market went south. I was busy working so I didn't notice I didn't get a contract for 2 weeks. IN the meantime the market had tanked 3 or 4 dollars.
I called them and they did not honor mine. I had called on the cell Phone and Verizon wouldn't give me my phone records.
