You could buy a gas burner, save all of the oddball equipment expenses, quit spending subsidy money (MY TAXES), quit overloading our electrical grid then when the power goes out you don't need to worry about transportation. Get in your gas burner and go. No need to solve problems that you don't create. This isn't hard. My apologies for being blunt and to the point.
Well, the tax money is there. So I'm viewing it as a change to get some of my tax money back!
I don't need to worry about my gas car in an outage ... until the gas runs out. Then you're walking or riding your bike! With a solar charged electric car, your biggest limitation is whether it's sunny out. When we had a week long outage a while back, their were only 2 stations in 25 miles among 60,000 people that were open.
The memes floating around about gas is freedom and electric is control is quite backwards in my view. |
