Are your intentions to remove the slatted floors and pour new concrete? I haven't been around old dairy barns like that so not entirely sure what the setup is like, but do know of several that had partial pit or shallow pit hog barns that they remodeled for different purposes. I think you're going to need material that has plenty of fines in it so that it will pack good.
