Fruita CO | Peaches...to this day eating a peach brings on a little bit of a sad feeling. Peaches are in season right at the time school starts, which always meant moving off from the mountain cow camp, starting school again...all through high school I lived with my Grandma in town during the week & went home to the ranch on weekends. Just a lonesome time for me...My Grandma was a sweet lady, but living with her just wasn't like being home. 9th grade was a culture shock, went from a 1-room school to a huge town school full of "town kids"... | |
